Nuneaton Gang Show is a sell-out success
A huge variety of music, dance and comedy - along with a trip down 42nd Street - was on offer at the Nuneaton Gang Show, which ended a successful five-night run at the town's Abbey Theatre on March 23.
The cast of 79 ranged in age from five up to 15 to 50.....although most, of course, were somewhere in the middle. Most important of all was the way they all happily mixed up the traditional to provide entertainment to largely sell-out audiences.
Organiser Dawn Williams who had sold out the first matinee weeks in advance, said: "This Gang Show has been running for 38 years and provides the opportunity for scouts and guides from across the Nuneaton and Bedworth to perform on stage in front of packed audiences.
"As well as hits from 42nd Street we had a Disney tribute, a trip to the beach and even a trip to outer space."
Succeeding generations of north Warwickshire scouts and guides have been riding that crest if a wave for the past 38 years and there's no sign of them slowing down now.
Next on the agenda will be the Coventry Gang Show which is at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, on March 27 - 30.
