The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum are excited to bring you a host of exhibitions and events to keep you entertained over the summer months. From thought-provoking contemporary art exhibitions to fun-filled family days out, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

On 5 August 10am-3pm join in with a day of prehistoric fun and adventure! Bring the whole family along for a thrilling experience as you explore the interactive sessions and shows provided by Dinosaur Experiences. You’ll have a ROARsome time!

Until 24 September step into the thought-provoking exhibition, Divided Selves by curator and writer, Hammad Nasar MBE, alongside Rosie Addenbrooke and Alice Swatton. Embark on a journey that delves into the complexities of belonging and coexistence in a time when the notion of nation faces significant challenges, from populism to armed conflict. This captivating exhibition relaunched in June with brand new artwork and installations. A drop in free event.

Until 3 September the Work on Walls exhibition invites visitors to experience the wonderful world of street art. The eight contemporary artists come from varied backgrounds each with their own unique style and design. The inspiration for the artworks comes from the rich and diverse collections of the Herbert and will bring an exciting new perspective to familiar objects.

Art Masterclasses for children: In July and throughout August, the Herbert will be hosting a series of Art Masterclasses for children aged 11 - 16 led by the artists from their latest exhibition, Work on Walls. If your child is passionate about art and looking to take their skills to the next level book their place on the Art Masterclasses at the Herbert. Led by expert artists, these classes are designed to challenge and inspire in a supportive environment.

Lunt Roman Fort. Don’t miss all the activities at The Lunt Roman Fort in Baginton, including its most spectacular event of the year – The Lunt Roman Festival, 26 – 27 August 10am-4pm. Join in with the fun as the fort comes to life! Marvel at displays from living history re-enactment groups, take to the field as part of our interactive Battle Drill and explore our Roman village.
