Miloš Karadaglić with Johnny Cohen and the Arcangelo Chamber Orchestra, Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry 9 March 2024, one night only.

Anyone who loves the sound of classical guitar, will want to show up at the Warwick Arts Centre this Saturday night (9 March) to listen in on a world class act.  In the exquisite acoustics of the fabulous Butterworth Hall, we can expect to be mesmerised by the delicate playing of Miloš Karadaglić.

Karadaglić will sweep us into the world of Baroque music with a programme of famous composers from across Europe.  The Baroque period is associated with the works of Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, Purcell, Rameau and others and is the focus of Karadaglić’s current album which was launched towards the end of last year.

Hello magazine, the Financial Times and the BBC Music Magazine have all featured Miloš Karadaglić and his remarkable life which has seen his musical talent and devotion take him from a humble life in post war Yugoslavia to the Royal Academy of Music in London to the Carnegie Hall in New York (2023).

With more than a decade of playing with leading philharmonic and symphony orchestras from around the world, Karadaglić will play this concert with Johnny Cohen and the Arcangelo Chamber Orchestra.

I can’t wait to sink into the waves of sound of another age, courtesy of the hands of the poster boy of classical guitar.

And for all those budding guitarists out there, there’s a pre-show talk just before the concert where we’ll have the chance to hear Karadaglić speak to us about his music, his seventh album, his collaborations and the music school he’s founded in his home city for all the youngsters he’s inspired to pick up a guitar.
