Leamington-Born Actress, Chloe Orrock in An Inspector Calls at The Belgrade
Leamington-Born Actress, Chloe Orrock will be playing at The Belgrade Theatre in the J.B.Priestly classic, An Inspector Calls. Chloe plays ‘Sheila Birling’ and is delighted to be performing at her home theatre.
Chloe says, “I grew up coming to the Belgrade, and I have so many great memories of seeing amazing theatre here. I have always wanted to act here, so it is a real joy to be coming to the Belgrade with this incredible, iconic production.”
Chloe’s theatre credits include The Picture of Dorian Gray for European Arts Company, Too Much Punch for Judy at Upstairs at the Gatehouse and ‘Viola’ in Twelfth Night and ‘Juliet’ in Romeo and Juliet for Tomahawk Theatre Company.
Joining her in An Inspector Calls will be Liam Brennan as ‘Inspector Goole’, Christine Kavanagh as ‘Mrs Birling’, Jeffrey Harmer as ‘Mr Birling’, Simon Cotton as ‘Gerald Croft’, George Rowlands as ‘Eric Birling’ and Frances Campbell as ‘Edna’. The cast is completed by Philip Stewart, Beth Tuckey, Maceo Cortezz and Rue Blenkinsop.
An Inspector Calls is directed by the world-renowned theatre and film director Stephen Daldry. Stephen’s many theatre credits include The Audience, Skylight and Billy Elliot The Musical. His film credits include The Hours, The Reader and Billy Elliot, all of which earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Director. Most recently he has directed several episodes of the Netflix smash hit series The Crown, for which he is also Producer.
In the 30-years since its first performance at the National Theatre in 1992, Stephen Daldry’s production of An Inspector Calls has won a total of 19 major awards, including four Tony Awards and three Olivier Awards, and has played to more than 5 million theatregoers worldwide.
An Inspector Calls, will play at The Belgrade as part of its 30th anniversary celebration tour from Tuesday 28 February – Saturday 4 March.
