Here’s a little bit of news for everyone who loves crafts, miniatures and dolls houses – it’s Miniatura’s 100th Show this weekend! Time to get your tickets for this amazing event and indulge your passion for dolls house miniatures created by some of the best miniaturists in this country and abroad.
You'll discover the brilliant craftsmanship of more than 130 artisans embracing dolls house miniatures in 1:12 scale, 1:24 scale, 1:48 scale – and even smaller, replicating in fine detail practically everything you’d find in a real house.

But don’t imagine you need a big dolls house if that’s not your thing. These beautiful models can sit on any shelf, desk and dressing table. You could make your own room box for your wall (or buy one), let your imagination soar to create your own little fantasy world.
You could delight a member of the family or a friend with a miniature item relating especially to them. Do they have a potting shed, a garage workshop, a sewing room, a garden, a greenhouse? Are they a school teacher, a cook, a mechanic, a grandma? Why not put together or buy ready-made, a scaled model of their favourite place, profession or lifestyle?

The range of miniatures you’ll discover at Miniatura will make you smile, giggle, gasp in awe and just love! If you are inspired to buy a dolls house (or another dolls house) there will be some magnificent ones on offer. From grand Georgian mansions to ramshackle cottages, from castles to fantasy woodland dwellings where a fairy or elf might live. Every style and period imaginable. Plus dolls houses not for sale - but to demonstrate what can be done.
You’ll also find every single item of furniture to decorate your miniature home, from the most modern state of the art kitchen to a witch’s cauldron over a fire. A three-piece suite just like granny’s to a replica Regency dining room. Beautifully embroidered cushions, incredible hand-woven rugs; original artwork in miniature; tiny books you can open and read; nursery toys - rocking horses, dolls houses within dolls houses!

As for figures to place in your dolls house or display in your home, you'll discover everything from fine porcelain beauties – modern and historical to quirky characters that will make you smile.
This year, organiser Andy Hopwood and his team have gathered together over 130 craftspeople, some of whom will be providing workshops and demonstrations. If you’re new to this miniature world, you’ll find friendly people who can’t wait to give you advice and help. If you’re an old hand at this game, you’ll know exactly what to expect and will no doubt be making a beeline for your favourite creative the moment those doors open.
This weekend there will be new product launches, free draws, giveaways, new exhibitors to meet as well as loyal favourites. Here's just a glimpse of what’s in store this weekend. Explore the Miniatura website for more information:
