Thrill to a magical, lantern-lit trail around the NightTime Menagerie at London Road Cemetery. Hear the amazing, true stories of some of the Cemetery’s residents and their encounters with animals. Join your guides William and Ellen, for a lantern-lit trail around the Night Time Menagerie.
This special night time performance uses illuminated installations and puppets to tell the amazing true stories of some of the Cemetery’s ‘residents’ and their encounters with animals.
The trail will be lit but do bring torches to help you guide your way – it may be darker in some places. Please dress appropriately for unpredictable British weather and wear comfortable shoes. The trail is just under one mile long and has some uneven surfaces.
Audience members will experience the Night Time Menagerie in timed slots in groups of 25. The experience will last up to 30 minutes. Hot drinks available at the end of your visit. Free parking available at Charterhouse car park - register your car on arrival. Some parking spaces are available at the main entrance to the Cemetery for easier access. Visit starts at the Carriageway entrance to London Road Cemetery, on London Road. Accessible toilets in the Anglican Chapel at the end of the trail.
Puppets and lanterns have been made by Flawed Mandrake Theatre, students from Coventry University and Historic Coventry Trust volunteers.
