The Nutcracker Ballet comes to Rugby

Macready Theatre is set to host Kings International Ballet Company as they perform the classic Tchaikovsky ballet, The Nutcracker, between 6-8 December.

The timeless ballet tells the story of a young girl named Clara who receives a magical nutcracker doll from her Godfather on Christmas Eve. Later that night, Clara dreams that the nutcracker comes to life and leads her through a fantastical journey to the Land of Sweets, where she encounters enchanting characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Mouse King, and the Snow Queen.
Amie Barton-Young, Theatre Manager at the Macready Theatre said: “This magical show is perfect for the whole family and a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit. It is a high honour to not only welcome Kings International Ballet back to our stage, but to programme such a renowned ballet.”
