Gold! That must be how Warwick Arts Centre feels after securing a one-night-only concert with Tony Hadley, the former frontman of 80s New Romantic band Spandau Ballet, earning himself the accolade of being one of pop music’s greatest vocalists.
Since splitting with Martin and Gary Kemp and the rest of the ‘boys’ in 1990, Tony has gone on to form new collaborations in writing, recording and performing including contributing to film soundtracks and releasing his single Obvious, in 2020.
As a solo artist Tony has performed across the world both with his band, swing bands and orchestras. Every year Tony and his Fabulous TH Band perform at Concerts and Festivals all over the world.
In between these live shows other highlights include: meeting The Queen, contributing to the soundtrack of Eddie the Eagle movie, and being invited by Gary Oldman to take to the stage with, amongst others, Sting and Simon Le Bon for the ‘Celebrating David Bowie’ tribute concerts.
Last year, Tony embarked on his 40th Anniversary Tour performing 40 shows across the UK, followed by concerts in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Japan and Italy. He also released a photo book ‘My Life In Pictures’ celebrating his 40 years in music.
Tony’s unmistakeable voice still brims with passion and urgency as it first did all those years ago. Join us for a memorable evening!
